Maha Kumbabishekam 2026
A Sacred Renewal of Divine Energy
About the Ceremony
The Maha Kumbabishekam is a grand ritual performance carried out every 12 years to replenish the divine power of the temple. It involves a series of complex Vedic ceremonies, culminating in the pouring of sanctified water from the Yagasala onto the temple's Kalasams (vessels atop the towers).
We invite all devotees to participate in this auspicious event and receive the blessings of Lord Thanthondreeswarar and Goddess Soundarya Nayaki.
